psalm 62:1 is prettiful. "truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation"
my life is currently a
social dud, quoting from some book i've no idea when i read. ahh well. seriously. no trainings, & my life is going to ruins. gah. im planning to go buy or rent soppy dramas to watch tomorrow, yay cheers for me! well @ least im hanging with lynette, going to queensway on wednseday. then & again, buying shoes, how long will that last. my mummy said i can get new school shoes, but not @ queensway kuz she thinks i'll spend too much. & she has perfectly good reason to, i admit. so, basically i realised what a wonderfully nice person my mummy is, that she's worthy of being called a 'practicing christian'. anyways no, its not just kuz she agreed to let me get new school shoes, though it is one of the lesser reasons. the story is, the other day when we were seated in the living room
( the whole family, for once. you have NO idea how seldom it happens. though tis only four of us. ) & she's like lishin-jie's coming, you can go shopping with her in metro!
and im like blink. "er, ma, since when did you like to shop in metro?"
( i digress here to mention that metro has sucky clothes. e only thing i ever got there was e skill of wrapping presents, which i koped from the assistants who help you wrap up your christmas gifts & all)so my mum's like, oh i got about $200 worth of vouchers, you know, maybe you could get a nice blouse
(HECK) or a nice skirt
(and im just like coughing my head off. a skirt?! what the heck for. the day i wear skirts is the day my eyes fall out & my nose becomes unflat. except chinese new year, that is.) but the point is, my mummy said she had vouchers.so i asked if she got her vouchers thru her mastercard, or visa, or mx, or her company dinner & dance. she said " no, i gave my dinner & dance free gifts to my poor friday girl (her subordinate) who always gets prizes but didnt get one this year. they were vouchers to takashimaya, not metro, by the way."
so i was like gaping @ her & wondering why she didnt keep the taka ones & give the metro ones instead.
then she said,
the vouchers weren't free, you know. i was like HUH?! i mean i think the reason they're called VOUCHERS is because they're free.
& shes like, well my tea lady got them @ the dinner and dance, but she says she never goes to metro because she can't afford it,
(tea ladies are generally not as well to do, my mummy explained) & she looked so upset that i bought the metro vouchers from her. for the full price & all.
& then i was there gaping @ my mummy's niceness while she concentrated on watching tongxinyuan, as if she'd just told me something as insignificant as the fact that she had satay for lunch. but hey, theres one person i'm absolutely proud of to say " my mummy's a christian. and a true blue, real one."
i feel like a retard, calling her mummy. ahh well, not the point. i call her ma in real life anyway.
& i miss my dad! he's on a business trip going all around china, then to thailand, and will be back this sunday. i told him to get food for me. lol.
& i saw ms chi pin lay @ starhub bukit batok on saturday, she was wearing a white sleeveless & short red shorts. amusing, no? i pointed her out to my mummy & my mum was like, "she has a very nice figure for a dean. but she doesnt look like a dean. she looks more like my exclassmate blah blah blah" & started on a whole rant of how they used to
hitch rides with guys on motorcycles. i was rather shocked about that part, but its not the point once more.
im painfully, drastically bored. so bored that i've started flipping through our maths textbook for next year, the one that goes " new syllabus additional mathematics, seventh edition" published by shinglee. it rocks, except the stuff is damn cheem & incomprehensible. uncomprehensible. non-comprehensible. NEVERMIND. my english always sucked anyways.
& yes i shall go now, & shut up. maybe i'll go borrow love @ harvard, & watch all e episodes that haven't screened yet, then gloat when my daddy comes back & tell him everything that will happen. HA. okay brilliant idea.
(btw, to clear things up, when i watch serials & painfully silly idol dramas, be they chinese, english or korean, my daddy watches them with me, kuz my mummy says they're an insult to her intelligence. heh. & oh yes, my daddy watches movies with me too. & tennis games, football games, & any other sports. except golf, which he watches himself kuz i cannot find amusement in watching a sport which does not involve running & screaming & excitement & tension & suspense. ) my family's absolutely funky & i thank God for giving them to me. wootz.
