today was starifically fabulous, really. teh church outing!
so basically we went to marina south, on this nice grassy place perfect for flying kites & stuff. hung there, played some games where i was actually CARRIED OVER & between a bunch of PINK RAFFIA STRINGS because we were playing some spiderweb game. i was squealing like heck but it was fun i suppose. except poor guys that had to carry me, they'll probably break a lot of capillaries. heh.
then, the highlight of the day,
teh dinnuh. giggles. it was great! twas like in e style of a fire, then above it a ring-shaped grill & a pot right in e middle so it was steamboat-cum-bbqgrill. lurvely, absolutely. i ate loads & loads & realised that a lot of ppl eat less than me but nevermind, e food really rawked. i mean although they give you only a certain # of live prawns & crabs, i dont eat those anyways so it didnt make much of a dif.
e chicken was great, & THE SHELLFISH OMGAWSH THE SHELLFISH. i hope i cooked them enough kuz if i didnt i'll get stomach upsets tomorrow but nevermind it tasted wonderful while it lasted. absolutely stupendously pretty. i boiled my cockles for ages, then grilled em so they should be alright, they were basically chowtar & almost crunchy. lol.
its really very worth it for twelve bucks.
then, e arcade was lurve. once more i died very early in time crisis, but it was fun while it lasted! & daytona which rawked arse except i kept on overturning myself & thus losing e games gargh. not e point though. @ least i didnt keep driving to the pit & wasting years like i did last time lol. & i did overtake catherine once in a while!!
so basically today was wondrous. i really do like church now, & not just kuz of these outings, of course. but as in church in general. in comparison to shanghai. of course in shanghai i didnt ATTEND church so much, but youth was nice. nothing compared to this though, people make you feel welcome & belonged. heh.
so i'll go watch rome now, new series on hbo, abotu the secret lives of e roman people. to let us understand that under e glamour, glory, & guang-hui, lies secrets, betrayal, and SCANDALS. grins. i think i'll like it. heh.
I NEED TO GET NEW TENNIS SHOES.
